On The Mantle
Fox III - Fall 2022
Moving, breathing, connecting. Small wood paintings balance on soft pinchy cups. Larger paintings are propped on half-glazed vases. Wood burnings, paintings on old ware-boards, and drawings on scraps of paper come together with cast, thrown, and pinched ceramic objects.
A row of black pinched pots become a field of flowers at night, and a porcelain frame and stoneware slipper become the memory of a bedroom. A grouping of three slaw jars go out on a dinner date; they brought a friend to make it less awkward.
